Rio red with its dark red skin and pulp just like its skin has a longish shape. Each rio red weigh approximately 400g.It has a fewer amount of seeds with its fruit has between 1 – 3 seeds. Aforementioned variety which does not puff, ripens in January and cultivated in Februrary.
Currently, rio red grapefruit sapling is one of the most sown citrus variety. These citrus grafted trees appear to be moderate in size and length. Grapefruit trees grow slower than lemon trees. Drought resistance is moderate if not high in these trees. Prefered sowing soil is heavy and with low drainage in general.
